Ford Edge Undervoltage Issue

I'm having undervoltage issues with my 2021 Ford Edge with a gasoline engine at 168915 km. It's showing poor starting, system failures, weak lights, and the battery seems weak on ignition. Diagnostics suggest a discharged or defective battery. Has anyone else had this?

Hey, I had something similar with my Edge, though I can't remember the exact year. I was getting weird electrical issues, like the radio cutting out and the dashboard lights dimming. Did you check the voltage regulator? That was the culprit for me. I'm no expert, but it sounds like the same thing.

Thanks! Could you share the specific symptoms you had and if you did any diagnostics before checking the voltage regulator? Did you also have starting issues?

Yeah, I did have starting issues too, especially in cold weather. It would crank slowly, like the battery was almost dead. I didn't do any real diagnostics myself, just took it to a local shop. They ran a test and said the voltage regulator was shot. Honestly, based on what you're describing, it sounds like the same thing. I'd get it checked out by a professional.

Thanks for the input! I'll get a diagnostic evaluation by a technician. I got the voltage regulator checked out, and it was the problem. A new voltage regulator and battery cost around 290€.
