Ford Edge uneven engine running

Hi, I have a 2015 Ford Edge with a gasoline engine. It's got 187508 km on it. I'm experiencing uneven engine running, the check engine light is on, and I get jerking when accelerating. Error is stored in the memory. I suspect a leak in the exhaust system, any ideas?

Hey there! I also drive a Ford Edge, though I'm not sure what year mine is. I had similar symptoms a while back - check engine light, rough idling, and hesitation. I would check your spark plugs and ignition coils. A faulty crankshaft sensor can also cause engine misfires. Have you checked those?

Oh, sorry to disappoint you, but it wasn't the spark plugs in the end! I didn't want to mess anything up so I took it to a workshop. Turned out to be a leak in the exhaust system. Cost me around 265€ to get sorted.
