I tried deleting and re-pairing, but the problem continues. Are there specific modules or software components within the Ford Escape that manage Bluetooth connections I should investigate?

It sounds like you've covered the basic troubleshooting. Given that the problem persists and there's an error code stored, it might be something deeper than just a simple pairing issue. It could involve the SYNC module itself, or even some other related system. The repair will cost you 45€. I would recommend a visit to a workshop.

I appreciate your advice. A workshop visit seems best. Thanks for confirming I'd exhausted the simple solutions. I'll schedule an appointment and will share the resolution.

That’s a frustrating problem! Have you tried deleting the existing Bluetooth pairings on both your phone and the Escape, then re-pairing them from scratch? Sometimes a corrupted connection can cause these issues.
