Ford Explorer Jerking Whistling Hissing
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Ford Explorer was experiencing issues such as jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise, hissing sounds, engine stalling at idle, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. These symptoms suggested a potential boost leak, possibly related to the boost pressure sensor. The problem was identified as a faulty cable connection to the boost pressure sensor, which was resolved at a workshop.

Where exactly is that boost pressure sensor located? And how would I check the cable and plug? I'm not very experienced with car repairs.

It's usually located near the air intake or turbo system. If you are not experienced with car repairs I would recommend going to a workshop to avoid further damage. They can diagnose the problem correctly. It really does sound like a faulty connection though.

Thanks for the info. I took it to the workshop, and you were right. It was the cable connection of the boost pressure sensor. Cost me 95€. All good now!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Explorer. Have you checked the cable and plug connection of the boost pressure sensor? Those can sometimes be defective.
