Ford F ABS Fault

Hey, I'm having an issue with my 2019 Ford F with a gasoline engine. The ABS light keeps popping on, and the whole ABS system seems to be failing intermittently. It's got 154218 km on the clock. I scanned the error memory, and it's showing a fault with the lateral acceleration sensor. From what I've been reading, it sounds like the control unit might be defective. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas what might be causing it? I’m worried about the steering angle and traction control now!

I had something similar happen with my Ford F. ABS light coming on, errors stored. Is it affecting your vehicle stability?

Yeah, it feels a bit unstable sometimes, especially when cornering. Was it the lateral sensor for you too? How did you fix it?

Yep, same sensor issue. Honestly, after a bit of poking around, I just took it to a workshop. Turned out the control unit was indeed faulty. They replaced it, and the problem went away. It wasn't cheap.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm headed to the workshop then. Ugh, I was hoping it would be something simpler. They reckon it'll be around 1000€ to fix, replacing the control unit as you said. Appreciate the help!
