Ford F Electrical Malfunctions

Thanks. I haven't checked the auxiliary battery voltage directly, but I measured the voltage when charging, and it seemed normal. The battery is original, so about 3 years old. Could a failing battery cause these kinds of electrical problems, even if it appears to charge?

Yes, a battery can appear to charge and still be failing internally, especially after a few years. The internal resistance increases, causing voltage drops under load and strange electrical issues. Given the battery's age and the symptoms, I'd suggest having a professional inspect it. A faulty battery could be the root cause, but there may also be an underlying issue preventing it from charging correctly. It's best to have it checked out by a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have it inspected by a professional and take it to the workshop. The repair cost will be 290€. I'll proceed with a battery replacement.

I had similar issues with my Ford F, though it's an older model. Your symptoms sound familiar. Have you checked the auxiliary battery voltage? Low voltage could indicate a charging problem. Is it the original battery? How old is it?
