Ford F Engine Stalling Fuel Pump Error
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Ford F with a gasoline engine is experiencing starting issues, stalling at idle, rough running, and increased fuel consumption, with a check engine light indicating a fuel pump error. Initial checks of the fuel pump connection revealed no issues. A suggestion was made to inspect the wiring around the fuel pump and fuel injector connections. Ultimately, a workshop diagnosed and resolved the problem as a defective cable connection, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Thank you for your reply. I only checked the pump connection. Could you please specify which cable connections I should inspect more closely?

Okay, so, I'm not a total expert, but yeah, mine turned out to be a bad connection. I'd suggest checking all the wiring around the fuel pump and also the fuel injector connections. But honestly, it might be worth taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They have better tools for that kind of thing.

Thank you for the advice. I followed your suggestion and took the car to a workshop. Indeed, it was a defective cable connection. Repair cost was 95€. Now it runs smoothly again.

Hey, I have a Ford F as well and had similar symptoms. The engine stalling was the worst, right? Did you check the fuel injectors or just the pump itself? It might be related to a faulty cable or plug connection.
