Ford F Ignition Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Ford F diesel is experiencing ignition problems, including failure to start, abrupt engine shutdowns, and rough running. The dashboard lights illuminate, suggesting electrical issues. The problem was suspected to be related to the ignition switch, but after checking the ignition fuses, it was found that a defective fuse was the cause. When you mention 'all the fuses,' could you be more specific? Are there fuses located in unconventional places that might be easily overlooked? I've checked the main fuse box.

I meant the ones related to the ignition system, including any for the ECU or immobilizer. I found a blown fuse to be the culprit eventually. If you're not 100% confident, it's probably best to visit a reputable workshop. Intermittent electrical problems can be a real headache.

It proved to be a defective fuse, as you suspected. The total was 52€ for a replacement and diagnostic check at the workshop. Thanks!

I had comparable issues a while back with my Ford F. The key turn did nothing sometimes. Did you check all the fuses? There's usually one specifically for the car electronics related to the ignition. A defective fuse might cause those symptoms. Worth a look before more expensive measures.
