Ford F Solar Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Ford F with a gasoline engine is experiencing a solar sensor fault, leading to a lack of heat from the heater. The suspected cause is a faulty cable or plug connection related to the solar sensor. After checking the connections, it was confirmed that a dodgy cable connection was the issue, which was resolved at a workshop.

Corrosion, huh? Where exactly is this solar sensor hiding, and what am I looking for, specifically? Any chance it's something else entirely?

It's the daylight sensor on the dashboard, and yes, it could be something else. But given the error code and the heating issue, the sensor cable is the most likely cause. But I would suggest going to a workshop.

Thanks a bunch for the advice. I went to the workshop, and it turned out to be exactly what you said – a dodgy cable connection. Cost me 95€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!

I had similar heating issues in my Ford F, though I didn't check the error memory. Did you check the sensor's cable and plug connections for any obvious damage or corrosion?
