Ford F Spongy Brake Pedal

Hey, I've got a weird issue with my 2006 Ford F with a gasoline engine. It's got 202641 km on the clock. Lately, I've been getting some seriously strange feedback from the brake pedal. It feels kinda spongy, and sometimes it almost vibrates? I've checked the brake fluid, and it seems okay. Could it be the hydraulic brakes?

Whoa, that sounds spooky! I had something similar happen with my old Opel a while back. Is the ABS light on? For me the root of the problem was undervoltage in the car. Check the battery terminals and alternator!

Undervoltage, huh? That's interesting. The ABS light isn't on, but I'll definitely check the battery and alternator. Did you also have weird pedal feedback? What exactly was happening?

Yeah, the pedal feedback was super weird, like a pulsing. The computer went crazy. For sure check the voltage, but honestly, with those symptoms, it might be worth getting it checked out by a pro.

Okay, I appreciate the tip! I checked the voltage and you were right! I went to a workshop. Turns out undervoltage was the cause of my weird braking issue. New alternator and some brake work and it set me back 240€, but at least it's fixed!
