Ford Fiesta Blower Motor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Ford Fiesta diesel's fresh air blower motor stopped working, with an error stored, leading to suspicion of a defective blower motor. A similar issue was resolved by checking the fan speed controller, electrical wiring, and fuses. Thanks for the input. I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. How did you pinpoint the fan speed controller as the culprit? Was there anything specific you noticed?

Honestly, I didn't diagnose it myself. I brought it to a workshop. They ran some tests and determined the fan speed controller was faulty. Given your symptoms and that you have an error stored, it might be worth having it checked out by a professional.

Understood. I appreciate the information. I will take it to my local workshop and have them investigate the fan speed controller and blower motor. I've already been quoted around 365€ for a repair. Thanks again!

I have a Fiesta, though I can't recall the year. I had a similar climate control issue a while back. It was a problem with the fan speed controller. Have you checked the electrical wiring and the fuse related to the blower? It might be a good place to start before replacing the entire motor.
