Thanks for the insight. I haven't touched the braking system recently. The only thing I did was swap out the air filter. Could that be related?

I can confirm that it is indeed the brake light switch. Since you haven't altered the braking system, it's unlikely a user-induced error. It appears you will need to go to a workshop. I hope that helps.

Appreciate the confirmation. I had the brake light switch replaced, which fixed the error messages and brake light failure. Interestingly, the service center mentioned that the previous switch may have been knocked loose during recent interior detailing. So it seems I caused the issue myself without noticing. Repair cost: 0€, as it was a simple fix.

Interesting problem. I recall something similar with my old 2012 BMW 3 Series. Same error messages, along with the brake lights failing intermittently. Initially, I suspected a wiring harness issue, but it turned out to be a faulty brake light switch as well. The car's computer system can be quite sensitive to voltage irregularities from that switch. Did you recently perform any work on your braking system?
