Ford Flex Infotainment Speedometer Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Ford Flex owner experienced error messages on the infotainment system and speedometer, with a diagnostic scanner indicating stored errors. The issue was suspected to be related to the vehicle's coding. A similar case was resolved by reflashing the control module, which corrected the software errors. The owner confirmed that a workshop visit resolved the problem, attributing it to coding issues.

Confused GPS is a great way to put it! What exactly was it on your car, and what did you do to fix it? Was it really a coding issue?

Yep, turned out the control module needed a reflash. Like a software installation gone wrong, messing with the car's perception. Bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They'll sort it out faster than you can say 'malfunction indicator'.

Thanks a bunch! Workshop visit confirmed. Apparently, the car's coding was indeed messed up – cost me 360€ to get it sorted, but now it's running smooth! Appreciate the heads-up!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had something similar happen in my Flex. Check engine light was on, and it felt like the car's brain was having a meltdown. Is your car acting like a confused GPS, too?
