Ford Flex Key Fob Issue

Having a weird issue with my 2017 Ford Flex (gasoline engine). The key fob battery low warning popped up, and now keyless access is totally dead. Also getting an error in the error memory. Unlocking or locking is not working as expected! Anyone else run into this?

I had something similar happen with my Flex. Started with the same warning, then the key fob became totally unresponsive. Have you tried replacing the battery?

Yeah, I thought about replacing it myself. But I was worried about if it needs a special type, or if there is something else going on. Did replacing the battery fix it for you, or did you have to do something else?

Replacing the battery fixed it temporarily, but the issue returned soon after. I would advise a workshop visit. They will fix your problem after a quick diagnostic test.

Ok, appreciate the advice. I went to the local shop and you were right. A new battery in the key fob was the solution, at a total cost of around 37€.
