Ford Flex Oil Pressure Light and Sensor

I have a 2011 Ford Flex with a gasoline engine. The oil pressure warning lamp is on, and there's a warning light on the speedometer. Diagnostics show an error related to the engine oil temperature sensor. Could this be a bad cable or plug connection to the sensor?

Hey! That sounds worrying with the oil pressure light. Is the engine running hotter than usual, or are you seeing any other weird behavior? Check the oil level to be sure it's not something simple before digging into the sensor.

The engine temperature gauge seems normal. I'm concerned about the error code pointing to the oil temperature sensor. Could a faulty sensor connection trigger the oil pressure warning, even with good oil levels?

Okay, if the engine temp gauge is normal and the oil level is fine, then a bad connection to that sensor could be the problem. Those sensors can be sensitive, and a dodgy connection can send weird signals to the computer. Honestly, I'd get it checked out by a professional. A bad oil pressure reading isn't something to mess with!

I had it inspected by a technician. The diagnosis confirmed a defective connection to the engine oil temperature sensor. The repair was 95€.
