Yeah, I thought about checking the voltage, but where exactly is the battery sensor located, and what voltage readings should I be looking for to confirm it's the sensor that's faulty?

Honestly, I never got that far with the voltage checks on the Megane. The symptoms were enough for me to suspect the sensor. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly.

You were right! Took my Flex to the shop, and they confirmed it's the battery sensor. Repair cost is around 315€ Thanks for the advice!

Sounds familiar. I had similar problems with my old Renault Megane. Weak starts and the lights dimming. Have you checked the battery voltage?
