Fuel rail pressure, you say? Is there a straightforward way to check that, or do I need special equipment? I'm not particularly well-versed in automotive diagnostics, so any guidance would be great.

Honestly, I just took mine to a mechanic. I'm no expert either, and didn't want to mess anything up. It might be worth getting a professional opinion before you start replacing parts. Could save you some headaches.

I appreciate your advice, I will do so. Indeed, it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator, as I suspected. The error entry after changing the fuel filter caused the regulator to malfunction. The repair set me back approximately 45€. Thanks for your help!

Hey, that sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Corsa – check engine light, rough idle, the whole shebang. Did you try checking the fuel rail pressure? Might be worth a shot before diving into anything too complicated.
