Ford Fusion O2 Sensor Failure

Has anyone had O2 sensor issues with their 2012 Ford Fusion gasoline? At 96126 kilometers, the check engine light came on, and it looks like an oxygen sensor heater failure. Fuel consumption is up. I don't see anything obvious, but maybe a bad cable or plug?

Hey! I have a Fusion as well, though I can't recall the year. I had the check engine light come on a while back, and honestly, the symptoms sound pretty close to what I experienced. Was it the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter?

Do you recall the diagnostic steps you used, or any fault codes, that pointed to the oxygen sensor? I know there are different ways to diagnose it.

Honestly, I'm not the most technical guy around. I just took it to the shop when the check engine light bugged me enough. They mentioned something about the oxygen sensor being faulty and causing the car to drink more fuel. If you're seeing the same signs, maybe best to book an appointment with a reputable workshop, right?

Thanks, that confirms what I was thinking. I'll get it checked at a service center. I'm expecting it to cost about 95€, so I'll know if they're overcharging me. Thanks again.
