Ford G6 fuel level sensor issue

Hi, my 2013 Ford G6 with a gasoline engine is acting up. The check engine light keeps turning on, and the engine sometimes stalls at idle. I scanned it, and there's an error stored related to the fuel level sensor. Could it be a faulty sensor?

Fuel level sensor issues can be tricky. Does the car dashboard display the correct fuel level? Have you checked the fuse for the fuel system? A defective fuse can cause all sorts of weird problems. Also, how many kilometers are on your car?

The fuel gauge seems to bounce around a bit, but it's generally in the right area. I haven't checked the fuse yet, I will do that now. It has 164334 km. Where exactly is the fuel system fuse located? Thanks for your help!

Okay, the bouncy fuel gauge adds to the suspicion. Given the mileage and the symptoms, a failing fuel level sensor is definitely a possibility. The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual, or a diagram is usually on the fuse box cover itself. But honestly, with those symptoms, you might want to swing by a workshop to have it checked by a professional.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it was just a defective fuse, like you suggested. Cost me 52€ to get it sorted. Really appreciate the help!
