Ford Galaxy OBD2 Readiness Check Incomplete
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Ford Galaxy diesel had an incomplete OBD2 system readiness check and a persistent error message after being connected to an OBD2 reader. The issue was likely caused by the diagnostic process itself. It was suggested to reset the computer, which could be done at a workshop for accuracy. However, the problem resolved itself after a few drive cycles, with the readiness check completing and the error message disappearing, confirmed by a vehicle inspection.

Resetting the computer, huh? How exactly does one go about doing that? Is it something I can do myself, or am I looking at a trip to the workshop?

Yeah, sounds like the same thing. Honestly, while you might find a way to do it yourself, for peace of mind, I'd suggest a quick vehicle inspection at a workshop. They'll have the right tools to properly reset everything and check for any underlying issues.

Thanks a lot for the advice! Turns out, the error cleared itself after a few drive cycles. The readiness check is now complete, and the error message is gone. The vehicle inspection confirmed that everything is working as expected. Repair cost: 0€!

I had something similar happen with my Ford Galaxy after doing some diagnostics. Did you try resetting the computer? Sometimes that clears it.
