Ford Galaxy power loss whistling noise

Hi, I'm having a problem with my 2021 Ford Galaxy (gasoline engine). The check engine light is on, and the car feels like it has reduced power. Engine response is terrible. I hear a whistling noise and a loud hissing sound when accelerating. Sometimes, the engine even stalls when idling. My fuel consumption has definitely increased. The car has 202103 km. What could be wrong?

Sounds like a turbocharger issue. I had similar symptoms with my older Peugeot 308. Check engine light, power loss...

My Peugeot was diagnosed with a defective electrical bypass valve on the turbocharger. It caused the boost pressure to be all over the place. I would take your car to a workshop; they can check the boost pressure actuator and its electrics.

Thanks a lot for your help! It turned out to be a defective boost pressure actuator, just like you suggested. The workshop confirmed it. Repair will cost me about 250€. Your advice saved me a lot of time!
