A brake switch, huh? User error, you think? Where exactly is that located? And should I even try doing it myself?

Yeah, turns out I had nudged the switch when I was putting them in, causing it to get stuck. So easy fix. But honestly, if you aren’t sure, just take it to a workshop. Brakes are important, right?

Turns out that was exactly it. The floormat had knocked the brake switch out of alignment. I pushed it back in, error's gone, brake lights work again, no cost to repair. Thanks a bunch!

I had something similar happen with my GT, though I can't remember the year of it. Was it maybe the brake switch? I remember having issues with mine when I put in new floor mats
