Ford GT Brake Light Error

I have a 2023 Ford GT with a gasoline engine and my brake lights aren't working. I'm getting an error message on the infotainment screen, plus an error stored in the error memory. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Ford GT owner experienced a brake light malfunction, accompanied by an error message on the infotainment screen. The issue was identified as a misaligned brake switch, likely caused by a floor mat. The solution involved realigning the brake switch, which resolved the error and restored brake light functionality without any repair costs.

I had something similar happen with my GT, though I can't remember the year of it. Was it maybe the brake switch? I remember having issues with mine when I put in new floor mats

A brake switch, huh? User error, you think? Where exactly is that located? And should I even try doing it myself?

Yeah, turns out I had nudged the switch when I was putting them in, causing it to get stuck. So easy fix. But honestly, if you aren’t sure, just take it to a workshop. Brakes are important, right?

Turns out that was exactly it. The floormat had knocked the brake switch out of alignment. I pushed it back in, error's gone, brake lights work again, no cost to repair. Thanks a bunch!
