Ford GT rough running

My 2019 Ford GT with a gasoline engine is running rough, almost misfiring. The check engine light is on, it occasionally stalls at idle, and there's jerking when accelerating. I checked the ignition coil connections, and something seems off. Anyone seen this?

Sounds familiar. I've got a Ford GT and had similar symptoms a while back: rough running, stalling, the whole bit. Have you checked the spark plugs? A faulty coil pack could definitely be the culprit, especially with those symptoms.

Thanks for the quick response. Were your symptoms exactly the same, and did replacing the coil pack resolve the issue completely?

Yeah, pretty much identical. Replacing the coil pack sorted it out. However, given the expense, I'd suggest getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop just to be sure. Could be something else in the ignition system. Better safe than sorry.

Understood, I appreciate the advice. I had it diagnosed. It was indeed a defective ignition coil, just as we suspected! Repair cost was 95€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
