Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the fuel pressure sensor located, and is there a way to check the cable and plug connection myself without special tools? Also, could a bad fuel filter cause similar issues?

The sensor's location varies, consult your service manual for the precise location for the Ford GT. Visual inspection of the cable and plug connection is possible, looking for corrosion or damage. A defective fuel filter is also a possibility. However, given the symptoms, I would advise a diagnostic evaluation at a workshop.

Thanks a lot for the help! I took it to a workshop, and you were right. It was indeed a defective fuel pressure sensor due to a bad connection. They replaced the sensor, and the total cost was 95€. The car is running great again!

I had similar symptoms on my old BMW, although it was a different engine altogether. The check engine light, the rough running, it all sounds like a fuel delivery issue. The diagnostic trouble code led to a defective fuel pressure sensor. Have you checked the sensor's cable or plug connection? An engine misfire can also trigger the check engine light.
