Ford Ikon Transport Mode Activation

Experiencing an unusual problem with my 2011 Ford Ikon (gasoline engine). It indicates that it is in transport mode, and I'm getting general electrical malfunctions; the navigation system is inoperative. Could this be related? The car has 171794 km on the odometer.

That does sound odd! Transport mode is usually enabled only when a vehicle is brand new, before it is sold. Are you absolutely certain that the car is displaying a transport mode message? Perhaps something else is causing the electrical issues and navigation failure. Does your Ford Ikon have any aftermarket modifications, such as an alarm system, remote start, or upgraded stereo? These can sometimes cause electrical problems.

Yes, the instrument cluster displays a 'Transport Mode Active' message. No aftermarket modifications; my Ford Ikon is completely factory standard. Is there some setting that may have been inadvertently activated, perhaps something to do with the immobilizer or security system? Could it be as simple as a fuse?

I am not very familiar with your specific model. As the navigation system is affected, it really sounds like some general car configuration problem. Transport mode severely limits the functionality of the vehicle. It disables various features to conserve battery life during shipping and storage. It is very strange that it is suddenly activated on your Ikon, especially since you have had it for so long without any issues. It is possible that a software refresh might be needed. I must admit, this exceeds my expertise. I would suggest visiting a qualified workshop.

I appreciate the input. You were correct that it exceeded my abilities. After a brief visit to the workshop, it seems that some of the car's settings were corrupted, and it was, in fact, in transport mode. The technicians at the workshop were able to resolve it with their diagnostic tools. The eventual repair cost was 0€! Thank you once again for your swift responses!
