Ford Ka Automatic Transmission Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Ford Ka with automatic transmission issues is experiencing starting problems, a solid check engine light, gearbox slipping, and a full error memory. The suspected cause is a faulty control unit, which aligns with similar experiences where a malfunctioning parking position sensor was identified. The solution involves booking the car for repair, hoping to resolve the issues by addressing the control unit.

Solid check engine light. The slipping is intermittent but getting worse. Was yours the parking position causing the no-start issue?

Yes, exactly that. Parking position sensor was kaput. Definitely get it checked out at a workshop. Could save you a headache.

Thanks! Appreciate the heads up. Confirmed it's the control unit. Booked it in for repair. Fingers crossed it fixes everything!

Sounds familiar. I've got a Ka, too. Had similar issues. Engine wouldn't fire up sometimes, and the transmission was acting up. Was your check engine light flashing or solid?
