Ford Ka Rail Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2013 Ford Ka, gasoline engine, with 105456 km. The check engine light is on and off, it stalls at idle, and the engine power is low. Diagnostics point to a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. Has anyone else had this?

I can relate. I have a Ford Ka too, though a slightly different year. I experienced very similar symptoms to what you describe, specifically the check engine light and stalling. It certainly sounds like a fuel pressure sensor problem.

Thanks. Did your diagnostics also indicate a 'faulty rail pressure sensor signal,' or was the issue identified through other means?

Yes, the diagnostic error was exactly the same: faulty rail pressure sensor signal. I wouldn't recommend trying to fix it yourself if you don't have experience. Take it to a reliable workshop.

Thanks for the guidance. I consulted a mechanic, and the rail pressure sensor was indeed defective. The repair, including parts and labour, was 240€. The car is now working perfectly.
