Hey, thanks for your reply! It could well be that my Kuga has the same problem as your Focus. Do you remember how much you paid for the battery change at the garage? And have you had any other problems since then, or is everything running smoothly? Thank you very much!

Hey, you're welcome! It cost me €290 to change the battery back then. So that's probably the price you can expect. But don't worry, since I've been to the mechanic, the overvoltage in the vehicle has been detected and rectified. Since then everything has been running tiptop. My Ford Focus has had no further problems. So I hope it will be the same with your Kuga when you fix the battery problem. Good luck with that!

Hey, thanks for the info. That sounds relatively straightforward and the price is reasonable. I'll make an appointment at the dealership in the next few days and hopefully it'll be done then. Your experience definitely reassures me and I hope that my Kuga will run smoothly again afterwards. Have a nice day!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2005 Ford Focus. Maybe I can help you a little. In my case, it was actually the battery that gave up the ghost. The lights flickered and it was no longer possible to start the car. It wasn't a power surge, but simply a faulty battery. I took my car to the garage and the battery had to be replaced. It was annoying, but not really a serious problem. After the battery was replaced, everything worked perfectly again. So it could well be that you have a similar problem. My tip: Have your battery checked by a specialist. Good luck!
