Ford Kuga reduced engine power after chip tuning

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2023 Ford Kuga Hybrid. It's done about 30,000 km. I'm getting a fault code, and the engine power is reduced. I tried a scan tool, but I can't figure out what's causing it. Anyone else seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Ford Kuga Hybrid experienced reduced engine power and fault codes after undergoing chip tuning. The tuning interfered with the engine management system, causing errors and triggering limp mode. The issue was resolved by taking the vehicle to a workshop, where the tuning-related errors were diagnosed and fixed, restoring normal engine performance.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar with my Kuga. Limp mode and all. Did you get any aftermarket chip tuning? That was my issue. Total nightmare!

Thanks. Yeah, I got chip tuning done soon after buying it. Can you tell me more about what happened with yours and how it relates to the tuning?

Yep, that's almost certainly it then. The tuning messes with the engine management system. My car threw all sorts of errors. I'd suggest taking it to a reliable workshop. They should be able to diagnose and fix it. Cost me around 180€ to get it sorted.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right, the chip tuning was the problem. They fixed the error, and it's running fine now. The repair was exactly 180€. Thanks again!
