Ford Ranger fuel pressure sensor issue

Hey, my 2018 Ford Ranger with a gasoline engine is acting up. Check engine light comes on and off, rough idle, and sometimes stalls. Plus, it jerks when I accelerate. It's got 241584 km on it. A friend thinks it might be the fuel pressure sensor, maybe a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this before?

Oh man, that sounds rough. I have a Ranger too, and I had something similar happen a while back. Check Engine light, stalling, the works. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. Was your fuel economy also in the toilet?

Yeah, fuel economy has really dropped. What happened with yours? Was it the fuel pressure sensor? What did you do to fix it? Did it also feel like the car wanted to jump when you press the pedal?

Yep, mine was doing the same thing with the jumping. Honestly, I fiddled with it for a bit, but then I just took it to a workshop. Turned out to be a faulty fuel pressure sensor like you were thinking. They replaced it, and everything went back to normal. Saved me a lot of headache, so I'd suggest doing the same.

Thanks a lot for the help. The workshop confirmed it was the fuel pressure sensor, caused by a bad cable. Cost 95€ to fix. Appreciate the quick advice!
