Hey, cool that you replied so quickly! It's really reassuring that you also had such problems and that it could be fixed quickly. Can you remember what you had to pay the mechanic for it? And have there been any other things that have popped up since then? Thank you very much for your feedback!

Hey, I'm glad I could help you a bit! I had to pay €210 for the broken linkage. It wasn't exactly a bargain, but since then everything has been running smoothly again. And to come back to your second question: since the mechanic took care of unlocking the fuel filler flap, my Ford has been running like clockwork. So no more surprises at the moment. Keep your head up, the Transit is a good car. Hopefully you'll get your problem under control just as quickly!

Hi, thanks for the info, really helpful! I have now also made an appointment with the mechanic and will give him your tip about the linkage. So glad that everything is going well for you again after the repair. I hope I'm just as lucky, and thanks again for the words of encouragement!

Hey buddy, I know exactly what you mean. Last month I had exactly the same problem with my 2016 Ford Fiesta, diesel, with 82000 km. In my case it was linkage failure - not the most pleasant event, but apparently it was caused by normal wear and tear. The warning is really annoying, as is the check engine light. For me it wasn't a drama, the mechanic fixed it pretty quickly, but without the right tools it would have been a real challenge. Consider asking your mechanic if it could be the linkage. It's worth a try, isn't it? Hope this helps and let me know how it goes!
