Ford Transit Gearbox Issues

Hey, I've got a 2023 Ford Transit, electric engine. Recently, I've been experiencing some gearbox issues. The paddle shifters are unresponsive, gear changes are rough and sometimes slip, and I'm getting grinding noises when shifting. Paddle shifters are very slow to react. The van's also gone into emergency mode, and the error memory isn't empty. Anyone else had similar gearbox issues?

Sounds familiar. I drive a Ford Transit too, and I had similar symptoms with the automatic gearbox a few months ago. Shifting felt like a lottery, and the error memory was full too. Did you already check the error memory?

Yeah, I scanned it and it showed a defective transmission control unit. I wanted to be sure before heading to a shop. Did that fix the transmission for you?

Yep, seems like the control unit was faulty. The workshop confirmed it right away. After they replaced it, the shifting issues were gone, and everything ran smoothly again. You should probably take yours to a workshop.

Thanks for confirming! I suspected it was the control unit after seeing the error code. Dropped it off at the shop today, and they quoted me around 1000€ for the repair, which is what I expected. Hopefully, it'll be back on the road soon.
