Ford Windstar injection nozzle issue

Fault codes point to a misfire in cylinder 3. Given the symptoms and mileage, wouldn't a faulty injector explain this? Clogging, perhaps?

Yes, that does sound like it. With the misfire code combined with everything else you are describing, I would say injectors are the high probability culprit. I'm no mechanic, though. Perhaps time to visit the workshop?

Thanks for your input. It does seem the most plausible explanation. I'll take it to the shop. I can confirm it was a defective injection nozzle. Replacement cost 515€. Issue resolved.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. Rough idling and poor starts. Have you checked for any fault codes? Dirty injectors were the culprit for me.
