Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that sensor located? And what should I be looking for, specifically? Is it just a visual inspection for corrosion or loose connections?

It's usually located somewhere along the fuel line, often near the fuel filter or tank. Yes, visually inspect the connector and wiring for any damage, corrosion, or looseness. If that looks okay, you might need a multimeter to check the sensor's signal. But if you're not comfortable with that, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to avoid making things worse.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I checked the connections and they looked fine. I took it to the shop, and it was indeed a defective plug connection, as you suspected. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Runs like a charm now!

I had a similar problem with my Windstar a while back. Same symptoms: check engine light, stalling, and fuel mixture error. Did you check the cable and plug connections to the fuel composition sensor? That was the culprit in my case.
