Fortuner AC Failure

AC stopped working on my 2021 Toyota Fortuner (gasoline engine). Air con doesn't cool, doesn't switch on, and there's a warning light. Error memory says something about the refrigerant compressor. Only done 30k km. Anyone experienced this?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I've got a Fortuner too (older model though) and had similar problems with the AC. Is there any hissing sound, like a refrigerant leak?

No hissing that I can hear. Just nothing. What exactly happened with yours? Was it the same symptoms?

Yeah, pretty much the same. AC just died suddenly. Ended up being a problem with the AC control unit. I'd take it to a workshop to get it checked properly.

I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was the AC control unit! Cost me 980€ to fix. Hopefully, this will help others with a similar issue!
