Fortuner Fog Sensor Error

Hi, I have a 2013 Toyota Fortuner with a gasoline engine. Getting an error related to the fog sensor. Symptoms are: error stored in the error memory, AC doesn't switch on, spray nozzles freeze in cold temps, and mirror heating not working. Any ideas?

Fog sensor, eh? That's a weird one. All those symptoms point to a wider electrical issue. Have you checked the basics, like fuses and battery voltage? Could be a bad ground somewhere too.

Thanks for the reply. Fuses seem okay. Where exactly should I be looking for ground issues related to the fog sensor circuit?

Honestly, chasing grounds on that system can be a nightmare. Given all the interconnected systems failing, and the stored error, a defective cable or plug connection of the component is likely the culprit. It might be worth having a workshop take a look. Could save you a lot of time and headache.

Okay, thanks. I appreciate the advice. Took it to a shop; they found a faulty connection, as you suspected. Cost me 95€ to fix.
