Fortuner Fuel Pressure Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Toyota Fortuner with a diesel engine is experiencing issues such as the check engine light turning on and off, rough engine running, stalling at idle, and jerking during acceleration. Diagnostics suggest a defective fuel pressure sensor, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug connection. Replacing the fuel pressure sensor resolved the symptoms.

Thanks. Could you give me more detail about what you experienced? Was the fuel pressure sensor bad, or was it something else in the fuel delivery system?

I didn't diagnose it myself. I took it straight to the workshop. They said it was a faulty sensor. Best to get it checked by a professional.

The problem was the fuel pressure sensor. Replaced it, and the symptoms are gone. Cost about 95€.

I had similar symptoms with my Fortuner. Check engine light, rough idle... It was a pain. I didn't check the cable, but I would check the fuel pump too!
