Fortuner sun blind failure
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Toyota Fortuner owner reported a defective sun blind that no longer retracts or extends, suspecting a motor issue due to an error message. Another Fortuner owner experienced similar symptoms, where the sun blind was stuck due to a failed motor. The suggested solution is to have the motor checked and potentially replaced at a workshop.

Yes, the car blind in the back. So it was the same symptoms? No movement at all?

Yep, exactly the same. Sunblind was totally stuck! I took it to the workshop. They said the sun blind motor was gone. The car blind itself was fine, but the little motor that moves it had given up the ghost. Cost me about 330€ to get it fixed. Best to get yours checked too!

Hey there! That sounds familiar. I have a Fortuner too, though I’m not sure what year, and I had a similar problem with my car sunshade. By sun blind I assume you mean the car blind in the back? It just stopped working, stuck solid. Was pretty annoying!
