Functionality air quality sensor
The air quality sensor is an air conditioning component that measures air quality, humidity, and pollutants in the air. In some cases, this sensor is also known as the air quality sensor and is sometimes abbreviated as the AQS, AAC or AUC sensor. The sensor can be used to control whether the vehicle allows air to flow in from outside or continues to use the air inside the vehicle (recirculated air).
The sensor is usually not located in the passenger compartment, but in front of the fresh air intakes in the engine compartment. The sensor transmits its measured values to the control unit of the air conditioning system. This then regulates the air flap distribution of the air conditioning system.
