Functionality seat belt retractor

The seatbelt bringer is a practical feature in many premium cars, especially coupes with long doors. After getting in and closing the door, a small mechanical device automatically extends from the B-pillar or upper seat area to bring the seat belt into an easily accessible position.

This saves occupants the uncomfortable and sometimes difficult task of reaching back. After the seat belt is fastened, the seat belt retracts. In some models, the belt bringer is also activated when the rear door is opened to hand the belt to rear occupants. A belt bringer increases comfort and encourages seat belt use.
