If this defect is detected, it may lead to the following problems:
Special glow plugs equipped with an integrated pressure sensor continuously measure the rapidly changing in-cylinder pressure in the combustion chamber to improve engine efficiency. This information is continuously transmitted to the engine control unit, enabling more precise and constant control of the fuel injection quantity and thus optimizing the combustion process.
Like conventional glow plugs, these also serve to heat the combustion chamber at low temperatures. One difference is their ability to improve fuel efficiency, reduce NOx emissions and optimize torque control, making their use particularly valuable.
