Functionality electric chassis
The electronically controllable chassis uses sensors to adapt to conditions such as road irregularities, steering angle and load. It measures how much force is acting on the shock absorbers to lower or raise the chassis.
Based on this data, it controls the damper valves as required. The damper oil is forced through a hole quickly or slowly, depending on the spring travel, which affects the resistance the oil has to overcome. This changes the rebound and compression stages of the damper, and it dips quickly and dips slowly, or vice versa. The damping levels can be set via predefined characteristic curves and a switch in the vehicle.
