If this defect is detected, it may lead to the following problems:
- Malfunction of the vehicle electronics
Functionality soft top
The soft top switch allows the opening and closing of the car roof. Microswitches, Hall sensors and rotation angle sensors, powered by the Convertible Top Module (CVM), detect the positions of the roof. Based on this, the CVM precisely controls the sequence of movement to prevent component collisions.

A failure or implausible sensor value stops the opening or closing process. Hall sensors detect specific positions, such as when the roof is completely laid down, and cannot detect intermediate positions. They only detect components with ferromagnetic or magnetic properties, which are then reported as "position reached."
