The solar sensor measures the solar radiation in the vehicle interior and supplies these values to the air conditioning system. In most cases, the sensor is located near the windshield vent. In the event of strong solar radiation, the air conditioning system automatically cools down to the set value.
The sensor contains a photocell whose resistance varies depending on the amount of light. The signal is transmitted to the air conditioning control unit, which adjusts the target temperature in the vehicle. The solar sensor enables automatic adjustment of the air conditioning system based on the amount of sunlight in the vehicle. This ensures a pleasant and comfortable driving experience.
