Freed Intake Air Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Freed hybrid is experiencing a check engine light, loss of power, and rough engine performance, with diagnostics indicating a faulty intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. This issue is confirmed by another owner who experienced similar symptoms due to the same sensor. The suggested solution is to have the sensor professionally checked and replaced at a workshop to resolve the problem.

Yes, the diagnostic tool pointed directly to a faulty intake air temperature sensor. It's showing as a consistent error. Was yours the same, or was it something else causing similar symptoms? Wondering if replacing the sensor is the right approach.

Yep, mine was the IAT sensor too! Same symptoms – check engine light, sluggish performance. Car diagnostics can only take you so far sometimes. I'd say take it to a workshop; they can confirm it and get it sorted properly.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Appreciate you confirming it could be the IAT sensor. I'll take it to a workshop to have it checked out professionally. Cost me 155€, but at least the issue is fixed!

Sounds familiar. I have a Freed too. Check engine light was driving me crazy, and the car didn't have the zip it used to. Did your diagnostic specifically mention the IAT sensor? Those sensors can cause weird problems.
