Freed Overheating Slow Warm Up
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Honda Freed is experiencing engine overheating and slow warm-up issues. The suspected cause is a malfunctioning thermostat motor. Other potential causes include a faulty water pump or temperature sensor. A similar case was resolved by replacing the map thermostat, and a workshop visit is recommended to confirm and address the issue.

Water pump and temp sensor, eh? Interesting. Did you have the exact same overheating and slow warm-up? What finally fixed yours?

Yes, overheating and slow warm up was exactly what I experienced. For me, it turned out to be the map thermostat. I'd recommend a workshop visit to confirm. Replacing it should hopefully sort it out.

Cheers, appreciate the insight! Looks like a trip to the workshop it is. Hopefully just the thermostat, fingers crossed!

I've got a Freed too, and those symptoms sound familiar. Has the water pump been checked? Could also be a faulty temperature sensor messing with the cooling system.
