Freed TPMS Fault

My 2010 Honda Freed with a gasoline engine has a TPMS fault. The speedometer shows "Tire pressure too low" even though the tires are fine. An OBD II scanner shows a TPMS error. The car has 171691 km. I suspect the tire pressure sensor battery is dead. Anyone else seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2010 Honda Freed displayed a persistent TPMS fault, indicating low tire pressure despite the tires being fine. The issue was suspected to be due to a dead tire pressure sensor battery. After attempts to reset the system failed, the problem was resolved by replacing the faulty TPMS sensor at a workshop, which involved recalibrating the system. The repair successfully cleared the warning light.

Sounds like a familiar headache. I had almost the exact same thing happen last year with my old Opel Astra. Constant low tire pressure warnings, even though the tires were fine. Turned out to be a faulty TPMS sensor. Have you tried resetting the TPMS system through the car's computer? Sometimes that helps, but it didn't do the trick for me. Is the warning light on all the time, or does it come and go?

I tried resetting the TPMS via the car's computer, but the warning persists. The error message and warning light are always on. The system doesn't show any pressure for any tire. Given your Opel Astra experience, how did you resolve the issue and were your symptoms the same?

Yeah, mine was pretty much the same. Resetting did nothing. The light stayed on solid, mocking me. Eventually, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They scanned it, confirmed it was a dead sensor, and replaced it. Honestly, at this point, sounds like you're heading for the same outcome. I'd get it checked out by someone who knows what they're doing.

Based on your recommendation, I took the car to a workshop. It was a faulty TPMS sensor due to battery depletion. The sensor was replaced, and the system was recalibrated. The total repair was 280€. The warning light is now resolved. Thanks for the guidance.
