Freed Windshield Washer Heater Issue

Hey, I've got a weird one with my 2013 Honda Freed (gasoline engine). The windshield washer heater isn't working. I keep getting an error in the system memory, and when it's freezing outside, the spray nozzles are totally blocked! Any ideas? I checked the washer fluid, and it's full, so I'm stumped.

That sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my 2017 Skoda Octavia. Turns out, on mine, it was a defective cable or a dodgy plug connection to the heating element itself. Have you had a look at the wiring and connectors near the washer motor and the windshield heater?

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly should I be looking? I'm not super familiar with car electrics, and I don't want to mess anything up. Is it something easily visible, or do I need to take stuff apart?

On my Skoda, it was behind the front bumper, which needed partial removal to access. Given the Freed's design, it could be in a similar, somewhat exposed location. If you are not comfortable performing the repair yourself, I would suggest taking your vehicle into a workshop.

Thanks so much for your help! I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on! It was indeed a corroded connector on the heating element. They cleaned it up and replaced the connector for 95€. All sorted now!
