Freemont brake lights not working
Summary of the thread
The 2015 Fiat Freemont had non-functional brake lights, with an error message on the infotainment system and an error stored in memory. The suspected cause was a faulty brake light switch. Thanks! Could you elaborate on where exactly I should be looking regarding the physical connection, and what constitutes a 'loose' connection? I'm not particularly adept at auto-electrical diagnostics, so any detail would be appreciated.

Sure thing. It's located near the brake pedal assembly, usually right where the pedal arm meets the master cylinder pushrod. "Loose" meaning the connector might not be fully seated or the wiring might be damaged. Honestly, given the electronics involved, it might be worth taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. Could be more than just a loose wire.

Thanks for the help! Following your advice, I inspected the connector, and it turned out the previous owner had installed the brake light switch incorrectly, causing the issue! After correcting it, everything is working again and the repair cost was 0€!

I had something similar happen in my Freemont. The error codes and symptoms sound pretty familiar. Have you checked the physical connection to the brake switch? Sometimes they come loose.
