Yep, that was exactly my problem. All the symptoms match. I recommend taking it to a workshop to get the battery checked, or replaced. It could save you from being stranded.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion and sharing your experience. I had the battery tested at a workshop. It turned out to be heavily discharged and defective, just as suspected. I replaced it, and the start-stop system is now functioning correctly. The repair cost me 290€. Thanks again!

I had a similar issue with my Freestar. Does it struggle to automatically restart after it shuts off? Usually, it's related to the battery not holding enough charge. How old is your battery?
